Mr. Yasir Ali, joined civil services in 1994. He is a graduate from Peshawar University. He is currently Additional Director, Research at the Directorate General Training & Research (Inland Revenue) [DOT].He is responsible for in service training of IR staff. In addition, he is in charge for the recently introduced Research activities of Specialized Training Program (STP) and is also the Editor of DOT Gazette, which covers all important events of DOT (IR) and its regional directorates. During his career spanning 17 years, he has served across the country in different organizations, which exposed him to a variety of organizational and administrative knowledge. He has been the assessing officer Income and wealth tax in various corporate and non corporate circles. Has served for more than four years as Special Assistant to Commissioner in a Zone. In addition to this, he has also served in the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD).Before his posting at DOT (IR) he was serving in the Regional Tax office Multan. Has attended a number of courses organized by the department and different institutions, like National School of Public Policy (NSPP) and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
