The honorable Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Mr. Sohail Ahmad visited the Directorate General of Training & Research (Direct Taxes), Lahore on July 20, 2009. He was accompanied by Mr. Khalid Aziz Banth Member FBR, Mr. Abdul Jaleel Chief FBR and Ms. Azra Mujtaba, Chief FBR. The guests were accorded a warm welcome upon arrival at DOT.

Mr. Sohail Ahmad, the recently appointed Chairman FBR, in fact had desired to have a direct contact and a frank and candid discussion with officers from both service groups being administered by the FBR i.e. Income Tax Group and Customs & Excise Group.  His itinerary was accordingly scheduled and he was able to inter-act with a large number of officers. His address was direct and forthright and he was extremely successful in allaying many unfounded apprehensions and anxiety of the officers.
