Invitation to Guest Speakers for Proposed Multi-Discipline Trainings at DOT

The Directorate General of Training & Research (Direct Taxes), Lahore is organizing a series of training initiatives for field officers in BS 17-19 scheduled for August – September 2008. The list of topics proposed for these short trainings is as under:

1. Amendments through Federal Budget 2008-09 in Income Tax Ordinance, 2001
2. International Tax Avoidance & Evasion
3. Effective Monitoring & Collection of Withholding Taxes:
4. Recovery of arrears & issues / checklist for issuance of refunds.
5. Organizational  Development & Change Management
6. Leadership
7. Human Resource Management & Development

In order to benefit from the pool of foreign / local qualified officers now available at Federal Board of Revenue, the Directorate General (DOT) has sought a list of interested officers in BS 17-20 posted at Regional Tax Office / Large Taxpayers Unit, Lahore having both the interest & capacity to act as guest speakers on above designated topics.

It is hoped that such an exercise would benefit both the participants as well as the Speakers through interactive and meaningful training sessions aimed at improving the skills& capabilities of field officers.
